The Process: Before, During, and After
Before your Cleanse
It’s best to ease into a juice detox to prepare your body.
Three to five days prior to a juice cleanse completely eliminate all processed foods and alcohol. (meat, dairy, sugar, packaged food items, etc.) Also caffeine if you plan to forgo your coffee during your cleanse.
If you are an unhealthy eater (fried foods, lots of processed foods) you should prep 5-7 days out.
Examples of foods to eat: leafy greens, vegetables, beans, oats, and nuts.
The day before a cleanse eat ONLY RAW, uncooked foods.
During your Cleanse
It’s best for you to consume a juice every two hours throughout the day. Always make sure to drink plenty of water in between juices to aid in flushing out the toxins from your system. Water is the most important substance in sustaining human life. It transports oxygen and nutrients to your blood and flushes out toxins, impurities and excess salts. We recommend drinking warm room temperature water that's also pH balance which is “alkaline water”. We also recommend drinking non-caffeinated herbal teas in the morning and throughout the day.
After your Cleanse
After your juice cleanse you will feel rejuvenated, inside and out. Our recommendation would be to ease slowly back into consuming solid foods. We find that it works best for most people to begin by eating mainly fruits and vegetables steamed or raw, and vegetable based soups. In general, the benefits of the cleanse can be extended if you continue to make good diet choices. Stay away from starches, refined sugar, red meat and alcohol, at least for a few days.
